Portal X Application
During my Summer 2017 co-op with RIT - Student Auxiliary Services, I was afforded the opportunity to work alongside the SAS Tech Director of Business Strategies and Technology on a number of workflow and documentation projects for both Housing Operations and Dining Services. These projects were done with future design and maintenance updates scheduled for both online portals accordingly.
The purpose of this project was to create a work flow and plan for their new and upcoming version of Portal X - an application that handles both housing and dining reservations for incoming and returning RIT students.
In order for this project to be structured correctly, while making sense for the app developers to create this application, a number of different properties had to be generated. This process helped differentiate certain actions and rules from the actual pages and content.
Attention to detail
Throughout the application diagram, the decisions and rules take into account all of the possible housing and dining scenarios that incoming freshmen and returning students will encounter. These decisions and rules added to the smooth and thorough attention to detail.
